Fellowships

Dr. Jayasankar was a Howard Thomas Memorial Fellow in Media Studies, attached to Goldsmith’s College, London and a DAAD visiting scholar at the University of Heidelberg.

Areas of Research interests include research based films on a variety of themes that problematises the  notions of self and the other, of normality and deviance, of the local and the global, through the exploration of diverse narratives and rituals. He has been working in Kutch, Gujarat since 2008, documenting the music of the marginalised communities and groups.
