Areas of Research interests include research based films on a variety of themes that problematises the notions of self and the other, of
normality and deviance, of the local and the global, through the exploration of diverse narratives and rituals.
He has been working in Kutch, Gujarat since 2008, documenting the music of the marginalised communities and groups.

Nazara Community Image Making project Nazara (which means vista, view,
sight) is a collaborative project of Centre for Media and Cultural
Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Sahyog, an organisation
that works with young people and has a School Without Walls programme
in two aEUR(TM)slumsaEUR(TM) (Jari Mari and Dindoshi) in Mumbai. Most
of the students of Sahyog are Muslim girls/young women who have dropped
