Notification IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

Dear International Applicants,

Kindly note, due to overwhelming response to the International Admission Process, the Online Written Essay Test/ International Entrance Test (IET) which was earlier scheduled on 14 Jan – 15 Jan, 2017 for all short-listed International applicants has been postponed to 1st Week of March 2017. We will communicate the exact entrance exam dates via email to the short-listed candidates shortly.

Please do not panic, as the admission process and deadlines for Indian and International students are different.

The International Relations Office (IRO) was established in the year 2006 as International Students' Office (ISO) to facilitate strategic international linkages and collaborations between TISS and different foreign Universities/ Institutions. IRO has worked pro-actively to create mutually beneficial partnerships by assisting/ facilitating drawing up of MoUs and agreements between TISS and international institutions as well as developing proposals for collaboration; and providing the necessary administrative institutional support to operationalising these partnerships and collaborations.

In a very short span, TISS has signed MoUs with several world renowned universities and established linkages in Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa and North America. We have MoUs with more than 80 International Universities with 38 active partnerships. IRO has extensively worked towards facilitating the exchange and mobility of Indian/ International students and faculty members with an aim of strengthening Internationalization in Higher Education.

Apart from building new collaborations, IRO actively facilitates the exchange of Students, Staff and Faculty (Indian and International) as per the mutual agreement. IRO also hosts independent students, scholars and faculty coming from different parts of the world. IRO functions as a Centralized Office/ One Point of contact for all International and Indian students/ faculty/ staff providing range of support and facilities. We as a centralized Office, are responsible for providing all necessary information and support, share notifications and advertisements; provide guidance to interested individual/ universities; provide support and assistance with respect to all academic and non-academic requests; handle grievances etc. As a centralized office, IRO coordinates with all the four campuses (Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad) to facilitate any type of mobility/ collaboration etc.

Objectives:

  • To facilitate and enhance the global visibility and profile of TISS,
  • To develop, coordinate and strengthen International linkages
  • To initiate strategic cooperation between TISS & International Institutions and universities
  • To facilitate, assist and help International students in all their academic pursuits,
  • To facilitate and assist Indian Faculty and Staff to progressively increase the scope of the Study in India Programme and Study Abroad Programme,
  • To provide a base to assist International and Indian scholars for career advancement and contribute towards enhancing bilateral relations
