Academic writing and writting by research scholars and practitioners is necessary for knowledge building and sharing within and across disciplines. In higher education, in social sciences, it is often assumed that scholars will grow into writting - from assignments, to dissertation, to papers and books. This is easier said than done in this workshop, jointly organized by Centre for Community Organization & Development Practice, School of Social Work, TISS Mumbai and Dept. of Social Work, BCM College, Kottayam, Kerala aims to enhance participants ability to engage in academic writting. It would provide educators, scholars and practitioners an opportunity to highlight their concerns with writting so as to enable them writting good academic papers. Objectives of Workshop
• To discuss the significance and challenges of writing in Social Sciences
• To bring to the forefront participants’ experiences and issues with (academic) writing
• To highlight aspects of writing based on research / practice documents
• To enable participants to understand key concerns in publication of academic work
