TISS Guwahati Campus Library TISS library in Guwahati campus sprouted with an objective to provide appropriate knowledge resources to the academic community of the Institute. Keeping in mind, the information needs & interest of users, the library has been in the process of building print as well as electronic resources. As a result, the library collection include books pertaining to the areas of History, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Environment, Mathematics, Science, Language, Literature and Development. At present, the library has a good collection of text books and reference books (< 8500 in nos.), journals (print) of national & international importance, theses and dissertation, back volume of journals, theme – based collection of CDs/DVDs and magazines/newspapers. As electronic collections, the library has more than 10, 000 e – journals, 180 e – books in the field of Social Sciences and allied subjects. Access to e-resources is made available to users through IP based & Remote Login based facility (http://library.tiss.edu/eresources.html). In addition, the campus has a computer centre with the facility of 65 computers and is available for students and research scholars to provide e-resources for academic study. The library is fully computerized with KOHA, an integrated library management system; users can access the resources of the library through Online Public Access Catalogue (opac.tiss.edu) @ 24x7. The Library has also created a Library Blog to keep users abreast with current development and publish Accession Update at monthly basis to keep users familiar with newly purchased books (http://www.tissglibrary.blogspt.com). Library hours:
