The importance of teacher education and education studies for enhancing capacities that can contribute to the development of individuals with holistic and well-rounded education has yet again been reiterated through the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The MA Education programme of the School of Educational Studies fulfills precisely this objective of preparing our students to become critical practitioners of education in their various capacities as teachers, teacher educators, education administrators, consultants, researchers, developers of curriculum and teaching-learning materials.

Students of the MA Education programme have had many opportunities through their courses to engage with educational thought and theories as well as to understand the field both through guided visits to different educational sites and through internships with various organisations and institutions. They have also developed the skill sets to analyse data and to manage as well as evaluate projects. The programme has thus helped build knowledge and skills that has enabled students from earlier batches to be successfully placed in different capacities in government and non-government institutions including schools, funding agencies, philanthropic initiatives and edupreneurial companies. I am happy and proud therefore to present yet another batch of students who bring with them a winning combination of domain knowledge, analytical abilities, idealism and goal orientation. Undoubtedly, our students would gain further from working under the guidance of established institutions and organisations working in the field of education.
