Highlights (2011 - 2016)
- Immense growth in the number of incoming International students – e.g., received more than 118 queries for Full-time Programmes (2016)
- Expansion of IRO activities and programmes
- From International Students Office (ISO) to International Relations Office (IRO)
- More clarity in IRO work and activities - introduction of different systems and guidelines to support our everyday work
- Prepared IRO guideline/ handbook / Fee and Financial Matrix/ Web-page/ Brochure, Different forms and formats to help us facilitate our work
- Working on Preparing Online Platforms
- Added one more Programme Coordinator to our IRO team in (March 2015) (Team Strength – 04)
- Collaboration with many prestigious Scholarships/ Fellowships and Consortium's
- As part of the EMINTE (Erasmus Mundus India To Europe Scholarship), we received a total of 20 scholarships (17 students, 2 Faculty Members and 1 Administrative Staff) - one of the highest number of scholarships received by any Indian partner.
- We are successful in receiving grants/ scholarship under the current Erasmus+ Application process with 3 International Universities that we jointly submitted.
- Introduced Double Layered Selection Process
- Handling on-campus accommodation facility - IRO hostels (7th Floor); IRO flats (1&2) and Service Apartments (701 & 703)
- On account of the Decade celebration of IRO in 2016 - IRO is very pleased to announce 02 Fellowships titled – 'TISS-IRO International Fellowship' for 01 PhD scholar and 01 TISS Staff on an annual basis.
- IRO has now been re-instated as an Independent Resource Centre
