CL4STEM Research Design and OER Module Development Workshop at Arusha, Tanzania


The CL4STEM team from TISS and the Open University of Tanzania organized the research design and module development workshop, hosted by the Open University of Tanzania in Arusha, Tanzania between January 17 to 21, 2022.

CL4STEM focuses on the professional development of Science and Maths teachers from participating countries to foster teaching for higher order thinking with inclusion and equity. It is the pilot for scaling the CLIx innovation beyond India.
During the week-long workshop, teacher educators from Tanzania and Nigeria will work on creating research instruments and OER based modules for teacher professional development. These modules will be implemented in the field and research on implications of scaling and innovation diffusion will be conducted.

First rounds of reports from the CL4STEM project- the situation analysis reports of Bhutan, Nigeria and Tanzania- were launched at this workshop as well. These reports focus on the state of science and math teaching in the partner countries from the lens of the status of ICT use and inclusion in teaching science and math.
