TISS partners with University College Cork to study rural development

In academic year 2015-16 (May 15 - Jan 16), IRO has received more than 52 Delegates/ visitors/ guests ranging from Faculty Members, Chancellors/ Vice-Chancellors/ Director's/ staff of the International Relations/ Students Offices from International Universities and Foreign Embassies that visited TISS in order to initiate initial discussions and exploration of the possibilities of establishing Academic and Research Collaborations.

In this regard, it was our pleasure to host Dr. Michael Murphy (President - UCC); Dr Christopher Brown (Director of the International Office, UCC); Prof Patrick Fitzpatrick (Head of College, UCC); Ms.Minakshi Batra (Director, India) and Mr. Michael O'Sullivan to sign MoU between TISS and UCC on 23 Nov 2015.

The visit by Dr. Nick Chisholm, earlier this year laid the groundwork for our first programme of cooperation in the field of development studies. This serves as the underpinning of our MoU. We look forward keenly to further elaboration of that particular relationship. This meet helped us to share about the work of TISS, our campuses, connected institutions, and the strength of our research ethos within the university, which matches closely to UCC.
