Virtual Customized Short-Term Study In India Programme (Csip) With University College London On “Sustainable Development”
Tata Institute of Social Sciences hosted a group of UCL undergraduate students for a virtual Customized Short-term Study in India Program (CSIP) in February 2021. The programme had broad theme of "Sustainable Development in India" with aim to provide students with chance to take part in a unique experience where they will have the opportunity to learn about the complex urban and social issues that the vibrant city of Mumbai faces.
With the overarching themes of the programme being Sustainable Development through the lens of Mumbai, further followed by relevant sessions on sustainable development and related sessions such as Climate change and Development in India, Development and Displacement and Urbanization, Water and Sustainability. The sessions gave participants a grounding in sustainable development and an insight into some of the challenges that Mumbai faces. Sessions were given by TISS faculty, TISS Field Action Project resource persons and UCL faculty and alumni.
