Dr. Anugya Shukla is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Geo-Informatics, Jamsetji Tata School of Disaster Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, India. She was awarded Ph.D. in Geomatics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) in 2020. Before that, she obtained her Master of Technology degree in Remote Sensing from Banasthali University. Prior to joining TISS, she was an Institute Post Doctoral Fellow in the Civil Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) for around two years. Her research interests include remote sensing and GIS, Urban Planning and Sustainability, Vulnerability and Risk mapping using Geospatial Techniques, Data Sciences and Machine Learning, Environmental Analysis, Population Dynamics, and Urban Climatology. Dr. Shukla has published several research articles in reputed peer-reviewed international journals, conferences, and book chapters.
