My PhD research looked at the social histories of photographic vision in twentieth century India. Broadly, I work within culture studies, photography, and performance practices and their intersection with critiques of developmentalism and social histories of environment. My research has been supported by GoI Research Fellowships, Inlaks Foundation, London Art History Fund, The Wellcome Foundation, and The School of Arts Research Award at Birkbeck.
