Omkar Balli is Implementation Head of Connected Learning Initiative (CLIx) at the Centre for Education, Innovation and Action Research. He has experience spanning the fields of Information Technology and education. Omkar has closely worked with government and low-income private schools, to improve teaching-learning practices in middle and high schools through teacher professional development and teaching. He has taught Mathematics and science in middle schools. He co-led the phase 1 of CLIx initiative, which is an educational technology initiative for high school students and teachers. This initiative has won UNESCO’s prestigious 2017 Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the field of Education and OER collaboration award for excellence 2019.
