I have gained over Two and half decade of professional experience in Library administration, research & training. My areas of interest are digital library, open access initiative, Information needs and seeking behavior, information management & information literacy. After acquiring PG in Library & Information Science (MLISc.) in 1995, I worked for about 2 years in Bangalore and more than 16 years in Mumbai. Since Sept. 2013, I am working as Deputy Librarian in TISS Tuljapur Off Campus.

My major responsibilities are;

  • Review & implement collection development policy
  • Acquire, organize & disseminate the information
  • Plan & monitor library budget
  • Maintain and Upgrade Technology
  • Responsible for implementation of CCTV & RFID technology
  • Train & Supervise library staff
  • Provide user training in evaluation & use of Print & E-resources optimally
  • Liaise with other libraries including TISS libraries for resource sharing – ILL & DDS
  • Provide value added services; E-mail alerts, Wi-Fi facility, manage Blog & Digital Library etc.
